Acquired Canadian Spectrum:

MVNO to a full-fledged MNO

We’re excited to announce a major milestone for the future of Karrier One. We’ve successfully acquired two mid-band spectrum blocks in the latest auction conducted by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED). This strategic win allows us to significantly expand our network capacity and operate as a full Mobile Network Operator (MNO) in Canada. Our CEO, Samer Bishay, emphasized that this acquisition is pivotal for our growth strategy and will enable us to provide superior connectivity to underserved regions. As an MNO, we’re now positioned to build a truly decentralized, blockchain-powered mobile network that challenges traditional models.

Why Being an MNO Matters

Network Control: As an MNO, we now have direct control over our network infrastructure. This means we can build and optimize our network to specifically support decentralized, blockchain-based communications.

Regulatory Recognition: MNO status gives us official recognition in the telecom industry. This legitimacy can open doors for partnerships, collaborations, and further expansion.

Spectrum Ownership: Owning spectrum allows us to provide services without relying on other carriers. This independence is crucial for building a truly decentralized network.

Innovation Freedom: With our own network, we have the freedom to implement cutting-edge technologies and protocols without being constrained by third-party network limitations.

Direct User Relationships: As an MNO, we can directly serve end-users, giving us valuable insights and the ability to rapidly iterate based on user needs.

EDCH Partnership:

We’re thrilled to announce our strategic collaboration with EDCH, a pivotal step in Karrier One’s global expansion. This partnership integrates our innovative Karrier Number System with EDCH’s GSMA-compliant products, paving the way for seamless connectivity across North America and beyond. A key feature of this alliance is EDCH’s provision of eSIM technology to Karrier One, enabling us to offer embedded SIMs to our users. This advancement is crucial for our vision of borderless, flexible telecommunications. eSIMs allow for easy switching between carriers, broad device compatibility, and remote profile updates, aligning perfectly with our goal of a user-friendly, globally connected network.

Token2049:

For the second year in a room, our team had an incredible time connecting with supporters, sharing our vision for decentralized telecommunications, and exploring the latest innovations in the Web3 space. A highlight of our trip was the opportunity to attend the Sui Builder House. The team enjoyed immersing ourselves in the growing Sui ecosystem and discussing with other projects about our excitement around the future of Sui. We’re more excited than ever about the potential of blockchain technology in revolutionizing the telecom industry and we’re excited to show you what we’re working on in Q4. A huge thank you to everyone who engaged with us in Singapore.

Panzer Dogs x Karrier One:

We’re thrilled to report on our recent successful collaboration with the Panzerdogs ecosystem! Our teams joined forces to create an exciting community event featuring a large-scale giveaway and challenge. The highlight was a custom-built pigeon tank, specially designed for this crossover, which had our community battling it out in true Panzerdogs style. Kicking off on July 10th, the tournament boasted an impressive prize pool filled with coveted Karrier NFTs, with special bonuses for our NFT holders revealed during our July 8th Twitter Space. We’re grateful to TradePort for sponsoring a Panzerdogs NFT as an additional prize during the Space. The enthusiasm from both communities was phenomenal, showcasing the power of cross-project collaborations in the blockchain gaming and NFT space.

Cellular Network Stats:

We’re thrilled to share some impressive milestones that highlight the growing adoption and robustness of the Karrier One network. Our latest data shows 124,000+ unique cellular users. With over 343,000,000+ megabytes of data transferred and 15,000,000+ sessions established, it’s clear that our network is not only attracting users but also providing reliable, high-capacity service. These numbers are more than just statistics — they represent real-world adoption of blockchain technology in telecommunications. Each user, every megabyte transferred, and all sessions established validate our push forward to the entire DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) sector.

Project Updates:

We recently hosted a Twitter Space featuring our COO Andrew Ellithy and CSO Nahid Masad, who provided a comprehensive look into Karrier One’s future as we approach Q4. The discussion covered our strategic plans, upcoming milestones, and how we’re positioning ourselves for continued growth for the upcoming months. Our leadership team shared valuable insights on our technological advancements, partnership strategies, large project updates, and community initiatives.

Going Forward

As we wrap up this edition of Karrier Connected, we hope you’ve enjoyed diving into the latest updates and insights with us. The excitement doesn’t stop here — we have an action-packed Q4 ahead! We’re gearing up to launch KNS, introduce new DePIN devices, and roll out numerous airdrops for our early adopters and Karrier Pigeons NFT holders. The journey is just getting started, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. Stay tuned for more exciting developments coming your way!
